We have to assume John Wannall was of legal age when he witnessed the
deed transfer listed in the Craven Co. N.C. Deeds, Deed Book 9 &10,
p. 224. Quoting from this document:
| William WICKLIFF to Peter
Enders. April 30, 1756. I Wm. Wickliff of Craven Co. Province of N.C.,
Planter to Peter ENDERS, 20 pounds proclamation money... land and plantation
lying on south side of Neuse River... 150 Acres tract granted to JOHN FLYAN
by Patent June 28, 1738. Witnesses JAMES HILL , OWEN OWENS , JOHN WANNALL.p.
;366 Wm. Wickliffe grantee 1754 |
For this reason we have presummed John's age to be at least 21 years,
and, accordingly, have assigned his Wannall.com index number. We
have not yet been able to connect him to any other Wannalls. For
more information on the early Wannalls and similar family names, see the
notes of the official
Wannall family genealogist, George Wannall.
