recently learned of Margaret A. Wannall from her obituary, which said in
part that she died "...On June 26, 1889, at 12:45 p.m., after a long and
painful illness....Friends are invited to attend the funeral services at
the residence of her brother, Charles P. Wannall, No. 928 9th street, Friday,
June 28, at 4:30 o'clock p.m. Interment private." Since her
name at death was listed as "Wannall," we have to assume she never married.
We have not yet proven that Margaret and her siblings were the offspring
of Thomas. We will continue to investigate.
In
April of 2009 we learned from a descendent of Margaret's brother Charles
P. Wannall that she was born in 1815. If so, she most likely would
be the fifth child and first daughter of Thomas Wannall.
