| We have mixed information regarding Addie C. Wannall. We were
told she was a school teacher, but we don't know where she taught or whom
she taught. Records at the Glenwood Cemetery indicate she was interred
in 1922, having died at the age of 73. That would have put her birth
year at 1849. We know she married Thomas Asariah Wannall on June
27, 1877, from the records
released by the Mormons (The Church of the Latter Day Saints) on their
FamilySearch web site in the Spring of 1999. The two were married
in the Concordia Lutheran Evangelical Church, District of Columbia. However,
family word-of-mouth indicates that Thomas Asariah was the father of Walter
Allen Wannall, who was born in 1857. That would make Thomas seventeen
years old at the time (which is certainly possible), and Addie eight (which
is highly unlikely.) There are four other children attributed to
Thomas Asariah, but we don't know if any were the product of his marriage
to Addie. In any event, unless we unearth something new, we must
conclude that Addie was not the first wife of Thomas Asariah.
