| Our original information on the Smoot family came from research by
George Wannall. Emily Smoot May's daughter, Emily May, married
Harry Ticer, and was mother to Charlotte Ticer and Mildred Ticer.
We have no dates of birth, death, or marriage for Emily Ticer's family.
But thanks to information from another Internet researcher who happened
upon our site we know a little more about Emily Smoot May's son. Apparently
Henry Russell May IV was born on February 22, 1898 in Washington, DC. He
married Erna Cornelia Brasse on October 24, 1918, in Idlewood, Fairfax
County, Virginia. Henry Russell VI died in Arlington County, Virginia on
October 18, 1954. At this time we do not know of any children for Henry
and Erna.
