Rebecca was the eldest of seven children. This is a heavily retouched photo from the 1890's showing three of the siblings with their mother Agnes Reeves in front of their Washington, DC, home. The picture is labeled, in Rebecca's handwriting, "1806 - Half St - SW, Mamma Rebecca, Courtney & Mattie." (Click on the picture to view a reproduction of the original.)	We are not sure of the exact order, but the Reeves children included daughters Rebecca, Bell, Mattie and Minnie, and sons Courtney, Wallace and Carrey. Pictured above, left to right, are sisters Belle, Rebecca and Mattie circa 1905.	Rebecca in 1940 in front of her house on Guy Street in Hyattsville, Maryland.

This photo of Rebecca was taken on September 13, 1954, in front of her last home in Silver Spring, Maryland.	Rebecca vacationed every winter in St. Petersburg, Fla., where this photo was taken in 1958.	This is one of the last portraits of Rebecca, who remained active almost all of her 90+ years.  When in her late 80's, Rebecca once sprained her wrist while hand trimming her front hedges.  Nothing could keep her down.
