| Corrie lived her whole life in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington,
DC. Her marriage to Bernard Layton fell apart after he returned from fighting
in France in World War I disabled as a result of a nerve gas attack. It
has been suggested that Corrie was a descendent of James Tyler, tenth president
of the United States, but the line was not a direct one. So far we
have been unable to verify the link.
