| According to other genealogy sources (see the link below and for Bessie's
father, Charles Louis Meyer), Bess was one of seven siblings from the San
Antonio, TX, area. Her family was German in origin. Bessie
lived with Jim in Texas, acting as his primary care-giver during the final
days of his bout with diabetes. She died in 1992 and is buried along
