| Vera Wannall was born in Norfolk, Virgina, but her family moved to
Washington, DC, just after her father died in 1926. Her father's
business partner managed to edge Vera's mother out of the business, leaving
tje family with little. But Vera's mother remarried and moved with
her new husband and her daughter to Washington, where they opened a laundry
business. Vera met her husband George while living in Washington,
and they have been together ever since. They are retired now and
living in central Florida, where they recently celebrated their 61st wedding
anniversary. Vera, in search of a "sporty" car, bought herself a new Buick
LeSabre. Her husband George admits it is a very comfortable car.
