| At
the time of his death, Willard Wannall lived in retirement with his second
wife, Helen, in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he had worked for a number of years
as Postmaster of Pearl City. Willard had a deep interest in parapsychology
and spiritual matters. According to his book, Wheels
within Wheels and Points Beyond,
Willard's life changed in December, 1956, after a UFO sighting.
He was a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army stationed in Hawaii at the time.
He reported that his spiritual awakening began at that moment and continued
to grow rapidly over the next few months, as he experienced abilities to
read auras and engage in "light body" travel to planes beyond the physical
world. At one time Willard hosted a weekly radio show about UFO's
and other unexplained phenomina. Willard chose to remain in Hawaii
after his term of military service because that state tended to report
more UFO sightings than other parts of the United States. Willard
was a fascinating personality and excellent writer who will be missed by
his family as well as by his many loyal followers.
